Our Gingerbread Trifles Recipe Is an Easy, Elegant and Delicious Holiday Dessert

Looking for a new festive dessert idea for the holidays? This year, why not switch things up and make gingerbread trifes for Christmas dessert? Our easy recipe layers cubes of gingerbread cake, a sweet cream cheese mixture and drizzles of caramel sauce in individual glasses for each guest. The sweet treats are sure to be the hit of your holiday gathering.

If you have extra gingerbread cookies from your holiday cookie swap, you can swap them for the cake in this trifle (just crumble them first). Even easier? If you don’t have time to bake your own gingerbread cake, simply buy a gingerbread loaf from the bakery section of your supermarket, cube it up and use it in place of homemade cake (no one will be the wiser) .

As the perfect accompaniment, we recommend serving this delicious chilled dessert with a warm mug of mulled wine for a beautiful holiday contrast.
