Chocolate-Drizzled Caramel Apples

These sweet treats are so easy to customize — just crush up your favorite nuts or candy (or both!), then roll the apples after they’ve been dipped.

Ingredients

6 (6”) food-safe craft sticks
6 apples, at room temp., stems removed
3 (5 oz.) pkgs. chewy caramels
¾ cup dark cocoa candy melts, melted
¾ cup white candy melts, melted
⅓ cup finely chopped walnuts

Instructions

  1. Coat wax paper with cooking spray. Insert 1 stick into stem end of each apple. In deep microwave-safe bowl, microwave caramels with 1 Tbs. water in 30-sec. intervals until melted. One at a time, dip apples in caramel. Scrape excess off bottom. Transfer to paper; let set, 15 min. Drizzle with candy melts. Top with walnuts.
