#TGIF: 3 Feel-Good Stories That Are Sure To Put You in a Great Mood All Weekend Long

Tags:

It feels great to have a productive week, but it’s even better when you can carve out time to relax and unwind. Luckily, something as simple as browsing some heartwarming content does wonders for boosting calmness. Here’s a roundup of three good news stories for June 10, 2022 that are bound to put you in a great mood for the entire weekend.

1. CHOP Celebrates 26th Annual Fetal Surgery Family Reunion

This past Sunday, more than 3,000 patients and families from over 20 states gathered at the Philadelphia Zoo to celebrate the 26th Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) Fetal Family Reunion.

The reunion brings together families of babies who were prenatally diagnosed with a birth defect. As a result, these children either underwent fetal surgery prior to birth to treat the condition, or had to receive elaborate care immediately after being born.

“It is truly inspiring to see so many children, who as babies likely could have died, now running around and growing up healthy and strong,” N. Scott Adzick, MD, Surgeon-In-Chief at CHOP, said in a press release. “The Fetal Family Reunion has always been my favorite day of the year, but it carries even more significance today to gather in-person together once again.”

2. Woman’s Shocking Reaction to Antiques Roadshow Appraisal

Stumbling across antique finds in our home is always a great feeling — especially when they turn out to be extremely valuable. A woman named Vie Carlson recently appeared on Antiques Roadshow and brought a typed letter signed by Frank Sinatra.

The letter is said to have been written by the late singer in 1976, where he addressed a newspaper columnist’s critique about the amount of police protection he had at the time.

Considering the letter’s rich history, Antiques Roadshow appraiser Simeon Lipman shocked Carlson by letting her know it would be worth $15,000 at an auction. Check out the full story of how she got the letter, and her reaction after learning what it’s actually worth, in the clip below.

3. A Young Boy Goes Through the Ups and Downs of Learning How to Ride a Bike

We could all use a little reminder about the power of resilience. Whether you’re facing setbacks or delays, pressing forward through those tough times can do wonders for your life.

This is especially true for a young boy who won a bike, but didn’t know how to ride it. He tried his hand at riding it, which caused him to lose his balance and fall. However, he jumped right back up and shook it off with a little dance.

See the adorable moment in the video below.

We hope you enjoyed this roundup of good news stories for June 10, 2022. Have an inspiring and joy-filled weekend!
