Domes of floral foam and inexpensive supermarket carnations combine for our favorite made-in-minutes Halloween centerpiece.
*What you’ll need: *
2 bricks of floral foam
7 dozen white carnations
1 sheet of black construction paper
1 sheet of white construction paper
To do: Carve one 8"-tall and one 4"-tall dome of floral foam and soak each with water. Cut 5 dozen white carnations for the mama ghost and 2 dozen for the baby to 1 inch. Starting at the bottom of each dome, press rows of flowers into the foam until it’s completely covered. For the eyes: Cut a pair of 2" ovals and 1" circles out of black construction paper and a pair of ½" and ¼" circles out of white paper. Glue the white pupils onto the black paper shapes and attach to the “face” of each ghost with hot glue.
Optional: Boost white-on-white flowery texture by pressing a few handfuls of 1" stems of stephanotis randomly on top of the carnations.
