When everyone’s to-do’s, bills-to-pay and doctor-appointment cards are crowding the family bulletin board, it’s a real treat to have a pretty personal memo frame tucked on your dresser or desk. This mini board is fashioned in a flash from a standard 8" x 10" picture frame from the dollar store!
What you’ll need:
One 8" x 10" picture frame
1 piece of polyester batting cut to 10" x 12"
1 fabric place mat, napkin or dish towel cut to 10" x 12"
2 yards of 5/8" grosgrain ribbon
To do: Remove the backing and glass from the picture frame. Next, place the cut piece of batting on top of the backing, then cover with the cut piece of fabric. Fold the excess batting and fabric onto the back and secure with strips of masking tape. Cut ribbon into pieces: two 16" lengths and four 7" lengths. Arrange ribbons in a crisscross pattern on top of the fabric and use more masking tape to secure the ribbon ends to the back. Then place the fabric-covered board into the frame.
