The way 80-year-old Eugene Bostick found his second career was kind of accidental. As the Fort Worth, Texas, native told The Dodo, he and his brother had a horse barn down a dead-end street, and people dumped their unwanted dogs there.
Since he retired 15 years ago, Bostick and his brother have cared for countless of abandoned pups, keeping them healthy, well-fed, and safe on their property. But the Texas native also wanted to take the dogs around to other places--and he hit upon a super-cute way to do it.
Fort Worth Dog Train
He was inspired to build his dog train by the sight of a tractor pulling rocks in little carts. "I thought, 'Dang, that would do for a dog train,'" Bostick told The Dodo. Now whenever the dogs hear him hooking up the carts to his tractor, "Man, they all come running and jump in on their own. They're ready to go," he said.
"I'm getting up in age, so I suppose it can't last too much longer, but I'll keep it going as long as I can," Bostick added. "The dogs have a great time. They just really enjoy it."
