Many guys struggle to show their emotions, but not all of them vow to express them "in the most creative and ludicrous ways" and at the most "inopportune" times, as Jared Basham told his bride while they were getting married over Labor Day weekend.
As she's caught a bit off guard, he stops to slip on a pair of dark glasses.
Then he broke out in a mash-up of his favorite love songs, from the Grease classic "You're the One That I Want" to Whitney Houston's anthem "I Will Always Love You" (with a little stop-over for Ed Sheeran's "Thinking Out Loud").
The reason for his unconventional approach to saying his vows? The couple had been separated while they were both deployed in the military: Jared in Japan, and Kyndra in Florida. To get her to smile, he'd serenade her over Skype "in my terrible singing voice and it would just make her whole day," he told Buzzfeed. His aim was to recapture that expression on her wedding day.
Looks like he got his wish.
