Chocolate-Espresso Martini

We upgraded the popular tipple with a splash of chocolate liqueur for the perfect sweet after-dinner pick-me-up.

  • 1 sugar cube
  • Ice cubes
  • ¼ cup vanilla-flavored vodka
  • 2 Tbs. coffee liqueur
  • 1 Tbs. chocolate liqueur
  • ¼ cup espresso or strong coffee, chilled
  • Dark chocolate shavings
  • Lemon wedges (optional)


  1. In small bowl, combine sugar and 1 Tbs. hot tap water; stir until dissolved and syrupy.  
  2. In ice-filled cocktail shaker, combine vodka, liqueurs, espresso or coffee and syrup. Cover; shake until well chilled, about 30 sec. Divide evenly between 2 glasses. Sprinkle with chocolate shavings. If desired, serve with lemon wedges.
