Cool and Refreshing Watermelon Limeade Recipe Is Ideal For Summertime Sipping

We add in honey to our recipe for a little extra sweetness

Sure, lemonade is a classic summertime sip, and while we love it just as much as everyone else, sometimes we crave something a little different. Enter our frosty Watermelon Limeade recipe. It’s the perfect mix of sweet and tart flavors with a fun fruity upgrade. We can’t think of anything more refreshing on a hot summer day!

In the First for Women test kitchen, we love a good shortcut — that’s why we kickstart this drink with frozen limeade concentrate. Then simply blend in frozen watermelon chunks and honey. But if you’ve got a little extra time on your hands, it’s easy to make your own limeade. To do, simply combine 1½ cups cold water, ¾ cup lime juice, ½ cup sugar and ice in blender until thick and frosty. (Learn more about how to make limeade.)

Give it a whirl and let us know what you think in the comments below. And for more cool fruity treats, try our recipe for Watermelon Sorbet.
