Buttered Rum and Apple Hot Toddy

  • 2 cups apple cider
  • 2 Tbs. butter
  • 1 Tbs. packed dark brown sugar
  • ¼ tsp. ground cinnamon
  • ⅛ tsp. ground nutmeg
  • ⅔ cup dark rum


  1. In pot, combine cider, butter, brown sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg. Over medium heat, bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low; simmer until sugar has dissolved, about 2 min. 
  2. Remove pot from heat; add rum. Divide among 4 heatproof glasses or mugs.
