Heidi Klum has been stunning us with her beauty and charm since her modeling debut in the ‘90s. Now at 46, she isn’t showing any signs of letting things slide. Although we’re sure Klum has some good genes to thank, she also recently revealed what she relies on to keep her skin smooth and wrinkle-free.
While discussing her overall healthy lifestyle with TODAY, Klum dished on her skincare secret weapon: Mario Badescu Buttermilk Moisturizer ($18, Ulta). “I use it on my face. It’s very light," she said. "When I use rich creams, I break out in pimples. I’ve been using it for years. It doesn’t clog my pores.” We find it hard to believe someone as seemingly flawless as her could ever have trouble with clogged pores, but we definitely understand the struggle of finding a moisturizer that doesn’t feel too heavy.
Reviews for the moisturizer echo her sentiments. “I've been using this moisturizer for a few weeks and really notice the difference in both moisture and evenness of tone,” one user wrote. They also mentioned how you only need a tiny amount — smaller than a pea! — to get the job done. That means more bang for your buck! People seem to be especially thankful for the moisturizer when the temps drop and the chill takes its toll on our skin. Another review called it a “little bottle of concentrated magic.” Just remember to test a small patch before slathering your whole face with any new product.
Klum also talked about her diet and exercise, which definitely helps keep her skin glowing and healthy. She admitted to only running on a treadmill “a little bit,” but focuses on the food she and her family eats. “There is no secret shake or secret pill. I wish there was,” she joked. “We cook every day. I have four children. It’s about cooking fresh food every day.” Hey, we’ve all experienced the dreaded blemishes that can come from enjoying a bit too much junk food. Starting from the inside out with healthier meals makes sense to us.
Here’s to all of us putting our best faces forward!
