This Video of George, Charlotte, and Louis Clapping For Nurses and Doctors Amid COVID-19 Will Brighten Your Day
Kate Middleton and Prince William’s three young children have captured our hearts each and every time they make a rare appearance, but their latest public debut might just take the cake as being their best yet.
In a brand new video shared to the Duke and Duchesses official Instagram account, Kensington Royal, the three royal children are seen standing in a neat line looking at the camera and clapping.
Of course, fans have gone into various states of meltdown upon watching the video, and not just because it’s unbelievably heart-melting.
Indeed the royal children are clapping for an emotional reason amid the world’s current pandemic — they’re doing it for all the people on the frontline helping those suffering from the virus, known as COVID-19, first hand.
The Instagram caption read: “To all the doctors, nurses, carers, GPs, pharmacists, volunteers and other NHS staff working tirelessly to help those affected by #COVID19: thank you.”
Joining in on a trending hashtag, the royal children have single-handedly catapulted a new trend for those across the UK, and indeed Australia – #ClapForOurCarers.
As expected, the adorable video has been met with excitement from fans, many of whom shared their praise in the comments section.
Alongside a plethora of love heart emojis posted by other fans, one person wrote: “That is beautiful! Stay safe little ones!”
Another royal blogger reposted the video to their account, writing: “The most ADORABLE royal trio joint #ClapForOurCarers with a special message from Kensington Palace.”
Furthermore, one royal fan also noted how much the children, aged six, four and one respectively, had grown: “The kids are so grown and so cute!,” they mused.
The royal family is supporting the NHS and other services who are on the frontline during the global health pandemic, which has left millions of people across the world affected both physically and emotionally.
Last Friday, Kate and William both made a surprise visit to the London Ambulance Service 111 control room in Croydon, where they highlighted some of the work they were doing amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
“Catherine and I were proud to visit staff working at NHS 111, to pass on our personal thanks, along with those of my grandmother and father, to staff working around the clock to provide care and advice to those that need it most,” William wrote alongside images of the pair speaking to staff and sharing their stories.
This marks one of only a handful of times we’ve had the pleasure of seeing all three royal children together.
The last time the trio made an official public appearance was in mid-2019 when they all appeared at the annual Trooping the Colour parade in June.
Shortly after that, the family was pictured at a polo match where Prince William and Prince Harry were competing.
With that being said – the rarity of these appearances makes their latest one all the more special.

And it’s not just the Cambridge children who have got on board the trending clap for carers train.
Indeed the Wessex family, consisting of Prince Edward and his wife Sophie, along with children Lady Louise and James Viscount Severn have also shared a sweet video of themselves doing the same thing.
The Royal Family shared the clip on Instagram, writing: “The Earl and Countess of Wessex, and their children, show their support for all those working on the frontline.”
