Next up for the actor? Allen is gearing up for his return to TV with his new ABC sitcom, Shifting Gears. The show follows Allen as Matt, a widower and gruff owner of a classic car restoration shop, whose routine and status quo is flipped upside down when his estranged daughter and her children come to live with him. Antics ensue.

15. El Camino Christmas (2017)

Directed by David E. Talbert, this Netflix movie is about a young man (played by Luke Grimes) who is looking for the father he never met. He ends up barricaded in a liquor store in El Camino, Nevada with strangers on Christmas Eve. The film also stars Dax Shepard, Kurtwood Smith and our favorite, Tim Allen.

14. Assembly Required (2021): Tim Allen Movies and TV Shows

Starring and executive produced by Tim Allen, Assembly Required reunites Allen with Richard Karn (his co-star from Home Improvement) and together they join woodworking do-it-yourself YouTube star April Wilkerson for a 10-espisode competition series. These home repair experts compete to rebuild and breathe new life into everyday household items.

13. Galaxy Quest (1999)

Galaxy Quest is a sci-fi comedy where the cast of a canceled space TV show must become actual heroes when they are mistaken for their on-screen characters by an alien race. Tim Allen starred alongside Sigourney Weaver and Alan Rickman. The movie was praised for its clever satire of sci-fi tropes and garnered a cult following over the years.

12. The Shaggy Dog (2006): Tim Allen Movies and TV Shows

The Shaggy Dog is a family comedy where a workaholic lawyer (Tim Allen) transforms into a sheepdog after being bitten by a mysterious dog. Allen stars alongside Kristin Davis and Danny Glover. 11. Jungle 2 Jungle (1997)

Directed by John Pasquin, Jungle 2 Jungle is another family comedy. It focuses on a New York businessman (Tim Allen) who discovers he has a son living with a tribe in the Amazon rainforest. Allen brings the son back to the city and antics ensue.

The movie also stars Martin Short and JoBeth Williams. Jungle 2 Jungle is a remake of the French film Un indien dans la ville (Little Indian, Big City) and once again showcases Tim Allen’s comedic talents.

10. Crazy on the Outside (2010): Tim Allen Movies and TV Shows

Directed by Tim Allen himself, Crazy on the Outside is a comedy where a recently released ex-con (Tim Allen) tries to readjust to life outside of prison while dealing with his eccentric family. Also starring Sigourney Weaver, Ray Liotta and Jeanne Tripplehorn, Crazy on the Outside marked Allen’s directorial debut and showcased his talent for both acting and filmmaking.
