Kate Middleton’s Close Pal Got Married—and Nearly Copied Her Dress

Tags:

There’s no doubt we were all glued to our television screens when Kate Middleton got married in 2011, but, this time, our attention is focused on someone very close to the royal who’s making her own trip down the aisle. And the dress she wore is definitely raising some eyebrows…

Natasha Archer, the Duchess of Cambridge‘s personal stylist, said “I do” to Getty wedding photographer Chris Jackson on May 1, wearing a dress that could be the mirror image of Kate’s iconic gown! Decked out in a long-sleeve, lace number, Archer tied the knot at Château Rigaud—a stately venue in France—with close friends and family in attendance.

Like Kate, Archer also opted to carry a white bouquet of flowers as she walked down the aisle. While her conservative dress bears a striking resemblance to the royal’s formal frock, Archer made some slight edits that differentiate the two: She chose an off-the-shoulder cut and ditched the mile-long train Kate is famous for sporting!

Although it remains unknown whether Kate was present at the ceremony, we do know that Archer and the royal now share the same wedding weekend anniversary. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge recently celebrated their sixth year of marriage.

According to People magazine, Archer may also have Kate to thank for her match made in heaven. Archer’s husband, Jackson, reportedly travels with the royal family to capture his famous photos of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Prince Charles, and even the Queen herself. So it’s no wonder how the couple met!

Luckily for us, Jackson was quick to share a photo of the stunning duo to Instagram. The image shows the newlyweds posing in front of a vintage car with champagne glasses in hand. It’s captioned with the sweet note: “What a weekend!”

Congratulations to the happy couple! We wish them all the best—and we’re sure Kate does, too!
