A pair of little African violet plants from the grocery store look so chic when popped into a couple of yard-sale pewter goblets. It’s an easy, inexpensive way to create a lovely tabletop focal point that can double as mini-nosegay party favors!
*What you’ll need [for each goblet nosegay]: *
1 secondhand pewter, milk glass or ceramic goblet
1 small (3"-4") pot of African violets, primroses or kalanchoe
1 (10") length of sheer organza ribbon
1 (24") length of thin satiny cord
To do: Turn each violet upside down and tap the bottom to release the plant from the pot. Then press it into the goblet. Hide the top of the soil with a swirl of organza ribbon and wind the cord around the flowers to create a pretty halo.
