This Almond Snowflakes Recipe Will Be the Star of Your Holiday Cookie Decorating Party

These sugar cookies are infused with delicious almond flavor with festive red and white icing.

One of the best activities to do during winter is bake and decorate cookies. Gather some friends and try this photo-worthy almond snowflakes recipe with fun icing decorations! We’ve taken store-bought sugar cookie dough and elevated it with almond flour and almond extract. They boast a delightful nutty flavor that pairs well with the sugary crumb. But the magic doesn’t stop there! Snowflake cookie cutters transform the dough into edible works of art. And finally, vibrant red and white icings add the finishing touch. You can make this almond snowflakes recipe easily, just make sure to let the icing dry for at least an hour before eating or storing.

Here’s a tip for icing cookies easily. Place the icing in a plastic bag, then push it to one corner and cut a small hole with scissors. The bag acts as a makeshift piping bag to control your squeezing and evenly coat each cookie. Tell us if you tried this trick below!
