Lauren Stachiw

Lauren Stachiw is a journalist and the beauty director at First for Women and Woman’s World magazines and websites. She has been covering beauty and fashion for over 10 years and has also contributed to First for Women’s book review page for the past decade — her favorite book genres to read are romance/chick lit, memoirs and thriller/suspense. She served as co-editor-in-chief of three a360media special interest publications: Look Great Over 50, The Most Effective Ways to Reverse Thinning Hair and Beautiful Nails. Her writing has also appeared in Closer Weekly, InTouch Weekly and Life&Style magazines, where she covered fashion and beauty topics and trends centered around celebrities of all ages. Stachiw graduated from the University of Missouri‘s Missouri School of Journalism in Columbia, Missouri, where she received a Bachelor in Journalism with an emphasis in magazine editing and a certificate in multicultural studies. While in college, she was a writer for the Columbia Missourian newspaper, interned at ALIVE Magazine, a local St. Louis city magazine, and wrote for various online beauty blogs. She is currently based in St. Louis and when she’s not working, she enjoys traveling, reading and spending time with her husband, Michael, son, Mikey, and two Scottish Fold cats, Mercer and Nigel.
