It's pretty common knowledge that lathering up before you head out is essential to protecting your skin from having some serious medical issues later on. But you can't pick out just any sunscreen. As you may know, sunblock is measured by its SPF (sun protection factor). And according to a new study by American Association for Cancer Research, you need a sunscreen with at least 30 SPF to protect yourself from skin cancer.

The results are really worth it. Taking just a few moments out of your day to apply the lotion can cut your risk by 80 percent.
