Just can’t give up your morning cup, coffee lovers? Don’t worry; tomorrow--Tuesday, September 29, 2015--is National Coffee Day, the one day a year that chains across the country reward your caffeine habit with free cups of their freshly brewed roasts. We gathered all of the participating chains so you know exactly where to go to save some cash.
And if you live or work near two of them, use our handy trick for getting more energy out of your coffee--it requires two doses of the pick-me-up.
This might just be the best deal of the day, so plan your morning accordingly. This chain will give out not only free coffee but also free doughnuts in celebration of the day. Help yourself to a free Original Glazed Doughnut and a 12-ounce cup of brewed coffee at any location. If you’re craving something fancier, they’re also offering small iced coffees, lattes, and mochas for just a buck.
Though you can satisfy your donut craving here too, you won’t be getting it for free. What you can count on is a free medium hot or iced Dark Roast Coffee. But don’t expect to grab one for a friend: this offering is one per customer.
West Coast favorite, Peet’s, will be serving up free cups of their Major Dickason’s coffee from their truck at locations around San Francisco through Tuesday. Check out their Twitter feed or website to find out where the truck will be next.
BONUS: Where to get deals on coffee
The Coffee Bean
On Tuesday only you can grab a half-priced iced coffee, flavored iced coffee, and iced Americanos at The Coffee Bean--and the deal is good for any size you like.
Though you’ll have to check to see if your location is participating, shops across 11 states are pouring $1 brewed coffees of any size all day Tuesday. And if you’re a big fan of their beans, you can also take home a one-pound bag for at-home sipping for just $2.
