We make our Parmesan Kale Chips recipe in the air fryer. When air-fried, the kale retains almost all of those good-for-you nutrients. That’s because this handy device rapidly circulates heat and cooks the kale in a flash. Plus, it takes a lot less added fat to achieve that crisp texture we all love. First, wash the leaves, remove the tough stems, then tear into small pieces. Now, the most important part — thoroughly dry the pieces. That way, they’re sure to cook up extra crunchy. - 2 tsp. olive oil
- 1/4 tsp. garlic powder
- 12 cups (2”–3” pieces) torn kale, washed, thoroughly dried
- Lemon slices
- 1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp. grated lemon zest
Instructions
Place crisper plate in basket of 7-qt. air fryer; coat basket with cooking spray. Place basket in air fryer; heat to air-fry at 325°F.
In large bowl, mix oil, garlic powder and 1/4 tsp. salt; add kale. Rub kale with oil mixture until evenly coated. In batches, spread kale in single layer in air-fryer basket. Air-fry until crisp, about 2 min. per batch. If desired, arrange lemon slices around edge of serving dish; pile kale chips in center. While still warm, sprinkle with Parmesan and lemon zest.
