Starbucks Added Two Brand-New Holiday Drinks and *Spoiler* They’re Delicious

Tags:

November means one thing and one thing only: Starbucks holiday drinks are back! With fan favorites like Peppermint Mocha, Chestnut Praline Latte, and Eggnog Latte up for grabs again, it’s hard not to slip into a holiday mood. And now Starbucks is giving you even more reason to celebrate with two brand spanking new flavors: Toasted White Chocolate Mocha and Chestnut Praline Chai Tea Latte. We tried them, and they did not disappoint!

Starbucks Toasted White Chocolate Mocha

As Starbucks puts it more eloquently than we ever could, the Toasted White Chocolate Mocha is a “festive twist on the white chocolate mocha, with caramelized flavors of white chocolate, topped with whipped cream and candied cranberry sugar.” If you’re a fan of the traditional Starbucks mocha or Peppermint Mocha, you’ll know that after a dozen or so sips, your throat is coated in sweet, sticky syrup. While the warmth is comforting during the cold months, the regular mochas can be a bit much. The Toasted White Chocolate Mocha, on the other hand, is a lighter, smoother mocha that has all the buttery sweetness of the traditional mochas, but you won’t get sick of it halfway through. And the candied cranberry is a nice tangy bite to break up the sugary drink.

Starbucks Chestnut Praline Chai Tea Latte

Full disclaimer: I love Chestnut Praline Lattes and I love chai tea lattes, so the Chestnut Praline Chai Tea Latte sounds like my dream drink despite it being an eight-syllable mouthful to order. The Chestnut Praline Chai Tea Latte (CPCTL) marries the deliciousness of regular Chestnut Praline Lattes (CPL) with the spiciness of Starbucks’ Chai Tea Latte. The sip starts off sweet because of the chestnut praline syrup, but it finishes with a tingly kick in the back of the throat because of the chai. The morphing flavors of the CPCTL makes me feel fancy, like I’m drinking an expensive wine!

If you’re one of those people who still enjoys iced drinks in the fall and winter or you live in a place where it’s perpetually warm (lucky, you!), you can get both of these drinks iced. Starbucks is also running a buy-one-get-one promotion on all holiday drinks between 2 and 5 p.m. November 9 through November 13.
