Pippa Middleton Ties the Knot in the Most Stunning Wedding Dress

Tags:

For many of us, our introduction to the younger Middleton sister came when Pippa held sister Kate’s train at the 2011 royal wedding. Pippa’s figure-hugging white silk dress immediately grabbed our attention, momentarily stealing older sis Kate’s thunder. Naturally, when Pippa and then-fiancé James Matthews announced their engagement in July of 2016, we wondered what Pippa would wear to walk down the aisle. We’re certainly not wondering anymore!

In a lavish wedding that included a glass palace to protect guests from any rain and luxury porta-potties, Pippa, 33, married hedge fund manager James Matthews, 41, at St. Mark’s Church near the Middleton’s Bucklebury estate. Kate, Prince William, Prince Harry, Prince George, and Princess Charlotte were all there and impeccably dressed.

MUST-SEE: This Is What Kate Middleton Wears to Other Weddings

Rumors swirled before the May 20 nuptials regarding Pippa Middleton‘s wedding dress design. Giles Deacon, the man behind the gown, created a lace-encrusted, short-sleeved masterpiece (watch the video below to see the look), which, oddly enough, reminds us of a cross between Kate’s wedding dress and Pippa’s bridesmaid’s dress.

Determined to let her sister shine on her big day but not to be wholly outdone, Kate was glowing in a pale pink Alexander McQueen dress and matching hat and shoes. McQueen’s director, Sarah Burton, famously designed Kate’s iconic wedding dress.

On her wedding day, Pippa looked ecstatic, and we wish her and James all the best. We’ve got our fingers crossed that Charlotte and George have some playmates soon!
