MUST-SEE: When People Called Her Fat, Daphne Oz Had the Best Response
On Feb. 17, Daphne Oz posted a photo on Instagram of her two kids, Philo, 2, and Jovan, 1, with a heartbreaking caption. The 31-year-old revealed that her father-in-law, Sretko Dimitric, had passed.
“Thank you all for your generous prayers and kindness. I wanted to let you know that, after a long battle with cancer (and many days and weeks and months that were unequivocal wins), my father-in-law passed away this afternoon. We are heartbroken, but grateful that we could spend the past few days together as a family, and that he is at peace. The kids coming to visit him in the hospital always put a huge smile on his face, which is how we’ll remember him. ❤❤❤”

Daphne Oz married her husband John Jovanovic, in 2010. The couple met in college, and they have two young children together.
While her father poses for a lot of cute photos with his grandchildren on Instagram, Daphne’s father-in-law mainly stayed out of the public eye. But we’re glad to know he spent his last days with his family at his side, including his beloved grandkids, who surely were the light of his life.
