Almost 3 Months After Losing His Black Lab, Dr. Oz Introduces His Newest Family Member

View gallery

June 5 was a very sad day for the Oz household. That’s the day they had to put down their beloved black lab, Rosie. She was suffering from an inoperable tumor and kidney failure, and the cardiologist felt he had no choice but to say goodbye to their longtime family member. Then he posted the sad message and his touching words on what Rosie had meant to his entire family on his Facebook page.

But nearly three months later, Dr. Oz took to Facebook again to make a big announcement: “Especially on #NationalDogDay, Lisa Oz and I are excited to share our newest family member with all you!” the popular doctor wrote in the caption to this heart-melting photo of himself and his new yellow lab puppy.

So everybody, meet Khaleesi, the Oz’s new dog!

And who knew the cardiologist and his wife were Game of Throne lovers?! We’re so happy for the Oz family!
