Philadelphia Cream Cheese Is Giving Out $20 Digital Coupons for a Free Dessert – Here’s How to Get One

Tags:

Cream cheese is a staple baking ingredient during the holiday season. From Swiss rolls and carrot cake to truffles and cheesecake, it can take any dessert to the next level. This year, however, a massive cream cheese shortage has hit the U.S. — meaning many of us might have to go without our favorite cheese-filled desserts. Hoping to sweeten this bitter news a bit, Kraft — the maker of Philadelphia cream cheese — has announced it’s giving away $20 “digital rewards” that customers can use to get a free dessert.

“This is not an empty shelf. It’s a holiday tradition waiting another year,” the company said in a promotional YouTube video. “Because having a hard time finding cream cheese on shelves means having a hard time putting cheesecakes on tables, and we get that … This year, turn that famous cheesecake into those famous brownies, end your meal with a friendly fight over the last holiday cupcake … anything that will make you feel anything in that cheesecake-shaped hole in your holiday heart.”

The number of digital rewards is limited – Kraft will cap the number at 18,000. So, if you want one, you’ll need to sign up quickly! On December 17 and 18, customers must visit the Philadelphia Cream Cheese website to reserve a digital reward, which they can then use to reimburse certain dessert purchases.

How to Get the $20 Digital Reward from Philadelphia Cream Cheese

To reserve a digital reward for a free dessert, visit Spread the Feeling on December 17 at 12 p.m. or December 18 at 12 p.m., Eastern Standard Time. Once the website portal opens, you will be able to claim a “limited dessert reservation,” and a unique, one-time use link will be sent to you via email.

Once you receive the link, visit your nearest grocery or dessert store to buy any dessert or dessert ingredient that costs up to $20. Save your receipt, which must be dated between December 17 and December 24 for you to get reimbursed.

From December 28 at 9 a.m. through January 4 at 11:59 p.m., Eastern Standard Time, you will be able to request reimbursement. You can do so by using the unique link that was sent to your email.

It’s unclear what other limitations may be in place when you sign up for your $20 digital reward. Still, the voucher should help ease the cost of your holiday treats, and perhaps make you feel slightly less sad about the lack of cream cheese!
