Naomi Judd Swears By This $7 Drugstore Moisturizer For Youthful Skin at 75

Sometimes, you just can’t beat the classics. That’s certainly the case for our most recent cover star, Naomi Judd — but we aren’t just talking about her long list of hit tunes. The country singer spilled on her favorite old school beauty product that helps her maintain a youthful glow at 75.

“Ponds Cold Cream,” Judd says simply. “[It was] passed down from my grandmother to my mother, and I passed it on to [my daughters] Wynonna and Ashley.”

The Judds aren’t the only fans of this timeless moisturizer, of course. You probably have more than a few members of your own family who swear by it, too! Even professional estheticians love it, including one who told beauty website Byrdie, “When someone tells me she’s never had a facial but has skin that looks 20 years younger than her age, I pretty much know she’ll also tell me she uses Pond’s Cold Cream as a makeup remover and moisturizer.”

On top of being so effective, a jar of this beloved cream also happens to be super affordable (Buy at Walmart, $7.17). Judd says that along with the moisturizer, she likes picking up lipstick when she heads to the drugstore rather than using any pricey makeup brands. In fact, she told us she never pays more than $20 for a new shade. We totally appreciate a star who likes to keep things simple, budget-friendly, and still always looks so glamorous!

Aside from her beauty routine, Judd also shared some of her favorite relationship advice with us. “I asked Dr. Phil what the number one sign that tells you whether or not a relationship will make it or not,” she said. “He answered: the way they end their squabbles, tells him if they’ll last. For example: If one calls the other names or digs up the past, they are not fostering a healthy future.”

Judd and her husband, fellow musician Larry Strickland, will celebrate their 32nd anniversary this year, so that advice has clearly paid off.

Be sure to pick up the latest issue of our print magazine (buy on newsstands now or on Amazon, $59.60 for a year’s subscription) to hear more from Judd!
