Kate and William Will Go to Scandinavia on Their Next Royal Tour
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are off to Scandinavia, with an official visit to Norway and Sweden scheduled for early 2018.
The news was announced by Kensington Palace this morning, with the official Kensington Royal Twitter account revealing that “The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will undertake an official visit to Norway and Sweden at the request of the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) in early 2018.” Prince William is also set for a winter visit to Finland on November 29 and 30, also at the request of the FCO.

Exact dates and a full itinerary for Kate and William’s trip is yet to be confirmed by the palace, as is the question of whether the couple will be accompanied by their two young children, Prince George, 4, and Princess Charlotte, 2. Given that George has recently started school at Thomas’s Battersea, it’s probably unlikely that he will be able to take time out unless the visit coincides with his school holidays.
The duchess has recently taken a step back from public engagements due to suffering from hyperemesis gravidarum, an acute form of morning sickness, in the early stages of her third pregnancy. She previously experienced the same condition while pregnant with George and Charlotte. Yesterday, a Kensington Palace spokeswoman confirmed that she is “feeling better” but is “still suffering” after Kate made an unexpected appearance at a charity event for children at Paddington Station. The family just announced Kate’s due date is in April.
The Cambridge family most recently embarked on a five day tour of Poland and Germany from July 17 to the 21. After touching down in Warsaw, the family of four travelled on to Gdansk and then flew to Berlin, eventually departing from Hamburg.
