Goldie Hawn Is Mourning the Loss of Her Best Friend
In news you’d never wish upon anyone, Goldie Hawn‘s best friend has just passed away. The 71-year-old actress took to Instagram on Sunday to share the tragic update, posting a black and white throwback photo of the two during happier times.
“My best friend has passed,” the Snatched star wrote. “Please treasure each other. Best friends get us through. Blessings to all this Sunday.”
Fans have expressed their deepest sympathies, writing sincere messages on the post: “Our love and prayers for comfort go out to you. There are no words,” one fan wrote.
Another said, “God bless, Goldie. Wishing you peace of heart and comfort from her soul’s presence.”

Goldie is yet to identify the name of her dear friend, but she has family and friends surrounding her to help her work through the grief, including her partner of 33 years, Kurt Russell.
The loved-up (but happily unmarried) pair have recently been traveling together, snapping their adventures along the way. Images show the duo enjoying hiking, bike riding, and wine-accompanied picnics in Greece.
Russell, 66, recently gushed about his long-time lover, as they both received matching stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in May: “Goldie, to you, I owe my wonderful life. Simply put, Goldie, I cherish you. All of the stars in the sky or the boulevard don’t hold a candle to that,” he continued. “There’s no one else I’d rather be next to than Goldie Hawn.”
