‘Another World’: See What Happened to the Show’s Long-Time Cast Members

The Another World cast became a part of America’s family during its run from May 4, 1964 to June 25, 1999. Audiences grew attached to the intricate story plots and nuances of each character, creating a strong and loyal following. The setting of the show is the fictional Midwestern town of Bay City and the plot focuses on people from different backgrounds and social circles coming together (or not) to connect in love, loss, disasters and triumph.

Here, we look back at the longest-running cast members, those who were on the show for hundreds (and in some cases thousands) of episodes.

Victoria Wyndham as Rachel Davis Cory

One of the longest-acting Another World cast members is Victoria Wyndham playing the role of Rachel Davis Cory. Wyndham started the soap opera in 1972 and appeared in a whopping 2,753 episodes, working right up until the show ended in 1999. Prior to that role, Wyndham actually got her start on another soap, Guiding Light.

After Another World ended, she made an appearance in Law & Order: Special Victims Unit in 2007, but has since retired from the entertainment world.

She is married and has two children.

Constance Ford as Ada Lucas: Another World cast

Constance Ford is another long-running cast member, starting her career in Another World in 1967 and appearing in an impressive 2,390 episodes as Ada Lucas.

Prior to joining the Another world cast, Ford had a long and successful acting career. She rose to prominence in the 1950s for her recurring roles in Search for Tomorrow, Woman with a Past and The Edge of Night. She also had guest appearances on many successful TV shows at that time, including Rawhide, Gunsmoke, Alfred Hitchcock Presents and The Twilight Zone. However, it was her long-running role in Another World that defined her career.

She passed away in 1993 from cancer.

Hugh Marlowe as Jim Matthews

Hugh Marlowe’s given name was Hugh Hipple, but he took the stage name Hugh Marlowe when he started acting. He landed the role on Another World in 1964 and appeared in 1,907 episodes.

He had a long and successful career prior to playing the role of Jim Matthews. He started his acting career in the 1930s, primarily by performing on stage at the Pasadena Playhouse in California. From there, he did everything — radio, stage, television and film. And in terms of the latter, he appeared in some ones, including Meet Me in St. Louis (1944) and All about Eve (1950). He was a regular in series such as The Adventures of Ellery Queen, Alfred Hitchcock Presents and Perry Mason.

Marlowe passed away in 1982. He was 71.

Linda Dano as Felicia Gallant: Another World cast

From 1983 to 1999, Linda Dano appeared as Felicia Gallant in the Another World cast, performing in 1,369 episodes. Prior to that role, Dano was in As the World Turns and had guest appearances in several popular TV shows, including The Rockford Files and The Six Million Dollar Man.

The biggest, of course, was the part of Felicia Gallant on Another World. During the time she held that role, she also appeared in several other shows, among them Perry Mason: The Case of the Killer Kiss, and the TV movies When the Vows Break and Rage of Angels: The Story Continues. One other soap she acted on was One Life to Live.

After Another World ended, she stayed in the soap opera world and had parts on All My Children and General Hospital, guest starring in several popular shows like Desperate Housewives and What I Like About You.

Most recently, she played the role of Vivian Alamain on Days of Our Lives and was in the movie A Little Daytime Drama (2021).

Beverlee McKinsey as Iris Carrington

From 1972 to 1980, Beverlee McKinsey played Iris Carrington on 1,304 episodes as a part of the Another World cast. Prior to that role, she had guest appearances in TV shows like Medical Center, McMillan & Wife and the Mod Squad. After leaving Another World, she appeared in the Clint Eastwood movie Bronco Billy and starred in the TV series Texas, on which she played Iris Wheeler. Then, from 1984 to 1992, she starred as Alexandra Spalding on Guiding Light (for a total of 300 episodes). In 1994 she played the role of Myrna Slaughter in General Hospital.

She passed away in 2008 at the age of 72.

Stephen Schnetzer as Cass Winthrop: Another World cast

From 1982 to 1999, Stephen Schnetzer was part of the Another World cast as Cass Winthrop, appearing in 1,129 episodes. Prior to that role, he already had experience in soap operas playing Steven Olson in Days of Our Lives and Marcello Salta in One Life to Live. On top of that, after Another World ended, he landed on soaps Guiding Light and As the World Turns. In addition to his time on daytime TV, Schnetzer also made guest appearances on several shows, including Blue Bloods, Flesh and Bones, Elementary and Billions.

Most recently, he was in the TV series The Bay and he also appeared in the movie Nyad (2023).

Anna Stuart as Donna Love

The character of Donna Love was played by actress Anna Stuart from 1983 to 1999 in a total of 976 episodes. Prior to the show, Stuart starred as Toni Ferra in the TV series The Doctors from 1971-76, followed by guest appearances in shows like General Hospital, Guiding Light, Highway to Heaven and One Life to Live.

After Another World ended in 1999, Stuart continued to act in the soaps As the World Turns and All My Children.

Judi Evans as Paulina Carlino: Another World cast

Judi Evans began her soap opera career in 1983 playing the part of Beth Raines in Guiding Light. Three years and 105 episodes later, she moved to Another World in 1991, playing the role of Paulina Carlino for 891 episodes.

In 2009 she moved to As the World Turns, playing the role of Maeve Stone. She was then a regular on Venice the Series and The Bay. However, her longest tenure was at Days of our Lives, playing the role of Bonnie Lockhart Kiriakis for a whopping 1,191 episodes. She also appeared in several movies, including 2021’s Blood Runs Thick.

George Reinholt as Steve Frame

From 1968 to 1975, George Reinholt played the role of Steve Frame on Another World, appearing in 656 episodes. In addition to that role, he also starred in One Life to Live as Tony Harris and guest starred on the Monsters TV series.

Reinholt died in 2013 at the age of 74.

Jensen Buchanan as Vicky Hudson McKinnon: Another World cast

Jensen Buchanan began her soap opera career at One Life to Live back in 1987 and did that for five years before moving to Another World as Vicky Hudson McKinnon for 539 episodes. She was on Another World from 1991 until it’s ending in 1999. After that, she continued appearing in soaps like As the World Turns, General Hospital and The Young and the Restless. She also appeared in the series The Bay as well as the movie Wraith (2017).
