What’s for dinner? What are you going to wear today? Do you want red or white tonight?

Making decisions can be tiring. Sometimes, it’s nice when someone knows you well enough to just give you what you want — and always get it right. That’s what Bright Cellars aims to do with its wine subscription service, which asks members to answer seven quick questions that are meant to determine which types of wine they’ll love best.

Here’s how it works: You’ll answer simple, multiple-choice questions, such as what type of chocolate you’d eat for the rest of your life, how you take your tea, and what your favorite juice is. (Take the quiz now!) The Bright Cellars algorithm will then score your answers according to 18 different attributes, determine which wines you’ll prefer, and send four bottles to your door each month.

If you don’t love a particular bottle, you can contact the Bright Cellars “wine concierge,” who will help you choose a new bottle, which will be sent for free along with your next box of wine. If you want to skip a month, or cancel, you can do that anytime by calling your concierge and letting them know.

All this, for just $60 a month (plus $8 shipping)! That breaks down to $17 a bottle — a pretty good deal, we’d say! Especially now, with COVID-19 making it so difficult to run everyday errands, we need this wine club in our lives. And as a bonus, when you refer a friend, you’ll earn points toward extra (free!) bottles.

Bright Cellars was created in 2014 by Richard Yau and Joe Laurendi, two MIT grads and wine enthusiasts who wanted to make it easy for people to find wines they love. Their quiz is designed to pin down your personality well enough to know what glass you’ll want to sip as you unwind after work tonight. But does it work? The popularity of the service points to yes.

Reviewers note that the packaging is beautiful: wine arrives individually wrapped, and comes with instructions on what temperatures to serve them at. They also say that wines are “good quality for the price” and are generally a match for their tastes.

We could use a glass right now! How about you?
