Experts Reveal Details of Jennifer Lopez’ Wedding Ring and $11M Engagement Ring Collection

Jen and Ben finally wed over the weekend.

On Sunday, July 17, two pop culture icons tied the knot in Las Vegas — finally. Jennifer Lopez, 52, and Ben Affleck, 49, were named “Bennifer” when they dated in the 2000s after co-starring in the movie Gigli. The pair split in 2004 and went on to marry other people — but twenty years later, they reunited, and are now married. Ahhhh… Hollywood romance!

After getting back together in April 2021, Jen and Ben were engaged a year later and married just three months after that. Clearly, they’d waited long enough. When they announced their engagement earlier this year, JLo was wearing an enormous green diamond engagement ring.

Engagement ring specialists at UK retailer Steven Stone evaluated the wedding ring and are now sharing details. “Jennifer Lopez’s elegant wedding ring is a 6mm platinum band that looks to be worth around $2,000… When compared to her engagement ring from Ben Affleck, it’s a fairly simple band [that] perfectly matches the simple wedding that the couple went for,” said lead diamond expert Zack Stone.

JLo’s engagement ring, on the other hand, is estimated to be the most expensive celebrity engagement ring of 2022 so far: worth $3 million, according to Steven Stone. It features a 9 to 10 carat natural green diamond that’s been treated using color enhanced technology.

Though we hope this marriage lasts, the question we can’t get over is ‘how much is too much to pay for a wedding ring set?’ Is there a limit, or is the limit different for celebrities (whose disposable cash is more substantial — to say the least — than yours and mine)? Jen’s Liz Taylor-like wedding and engagement history has yielded an impressive collection of engagement rings. (She’s been engaged six times and married four. The total value of her engagement ring collection is estimated to be $11.2 million.)

This latest engagement ring from Ben knocks the first engagement ring he gave her back in 2002 (a 6.1 carat pink Harry Winston diamond) out of the park. “[Green is] my favorite color; it’s also my lucky color,” JLo told fans of her engagement stone in a video shared via her “On the JLo” newsletter back in April. “Obviously, it’ll be my lucky color forever now.”

“Jennifer’s latest engagement ring from Ben is no doubt the most expensive engagement ring we’ve seen in a long time,” said Stone. It makes sense, then, that her wedding band is a much more affordable jewel (at least by comparison). They do say diamonds are forever — so let’s hope this marriage is a lasting one. If years together matched the dollars spent on the ring, the two would be together forever!
