This $20 Plant-Based Moisturizer Made My Fine Lines Fade Away in Days

Tags:

We all reach that point in our lives when we notice our skin just isn’t as perky and youthful as it once was. I recently found myself frustrated by a cluster of fine lines around my eyes that were quickly digging themselves in deeper and deeper. So, I set out to find the best (non-injectable) solution to get rid of them. After several unsuccessful attempts, I finally discovered an organic, plant-based product that seems to work actual magic.

Please allow me to introduce you to the Cocokind Texture Smoothing Cream (Buy from Cocokind, $20). The main active ingredient is something they call a celery superseed complex, which is a powerful combo of antioxidant-rich celery extract and fatty acids from flaxseed extract. Together, they help to firm and tone skin while improving its texture.

The cream also contains tsubaki seed oil, or camellia oil, which has been used for centuries in Japanese cultures for its anti-aging properties. It improves skin elasticity, provide nutrients like vitamins, minerals, and omegas to skin cells, and wards off wrinkles and fine lines. Squalane is another key ingredient which keeps skin moisturized and boosts its production of collagen. All of these perks are packed inside a surprisingly lightweight cream that provides hydration without feeling greasy or heavy on your skin.

Why we like it:

  • Plant-based, antioxidant-rich ingredients
  • Smoothes skin and improves elasticity
  • Diminishes appearance of fine lines and large pores

Happy customer: “This is a really effective moisturizer! I have combination skin and it clears up my dry spots without making my oily spots worse. It’s lightweight, has a cooling effect, and instantly makes my skin feel softer and smoother. There is a scent, but I find it nice and clean (like celery plus some other greens) and it goes away quickly. It also gives me such a nice healthy glow when I use it as my last step in my routine, which I really love!”

I’ll be honest, I didn’t know anything about those ingredients and their benefits before I tried it out on my fine lines. I saw the words “plumping,” “retexturizing,” and “bright, youthful skin” on the jar and just went for it.

Although I recommend others do test patches on their skin rather than diving in like me, I am so happy with my results. It’s meant for your whole face, but I started by using it just as an eye cream. I dabbed it on my fine lines in the morning and before bed — and it only took a few days for me to feel like someone waved a magic wand over my face. I’m especially impressed by how well it protects my skin at night while I sleep. Instead of waking up to the lines around my eyes looking worse after getting squished into my pillow, I hardly notice they’re there at all!

I’ve started using it to moisturize the rest of my face now and a little goes a long way. I can definitely tell that it’s helping soften the overall texture and minimize my pores. Everyone is different, of course, so there’s no guarantee we’ll all have the same effects. But judging by reviews on the company website calling it a “holy grail,” “the very best moisturizer,” and even “something I can’t live without,” I’m clearly not the only fan.

Give it a try and hopefully you’ll be just as thrilled with the results!
