Catherine Zeta-Jones Swears by This $22 Moisturizer That Her Grandmother Used for Glowing Skin

Catherine Zeta-Jones may always look like a million bucks, but that doesn’t mean she spends a fortune on her favorite products. The actress recently revealed her that she discovered her go-to moisturizer, which she claims works wonders on way more than just dry skin, from her grandmother — and it only costs $22!

In fact, Zeta-Jones told Glamour that if she was forced to choose only three products to use for the rest of her life, one of them would be Elizabeth Arden’s Eight Hour Cream (Buy on Amazon, $22) because it’s “the answer to everything.” She elaborated, “If you cut yourself, you put it on. If you have a sunburn, you put it on.”

Her grandmother would have most definitely agreed. “It was the only cream she ever bought,” the actress said. And Zeta-Jones isn’t the only person who claims it can help with pretty much any and all skin ailments. According to the brand, it actually got its name because one of their clients applied it to their child’s skinned knee and it was “magically better” just eight hours later.

There are also thousands of rave reviews on Amazon describing the cream as nothing short of miraculous for soothing frustrating problems like chronically chapped lips, hydrating dried out skin, and getting rid of fine lines and wrinkles. The ingredient list includes petrolatum, vitamin E, and salicylic acid, all of which are known for skin-quenching qualities, but we definitely suspect there’s some witchcraft going on here, too.

As for the other items Zeta-Jones said she would grab if she could only use three: Mascara from her own beauty brand, Casa Zeta-Jones (Buy on Amazon, $24), simply because she worked so hard to get the formula right. And lastly, she’d reach for Epsom salt (Buy on Amazon, $10.99). “I go through bags of it,” she said. “It relieves all my aches and pains.” Sounds like she’s got all her bases covered if this hypothetical situation ever became a reality!
