Carey Ostergard

Carey Ostergard is a writer/editor/content creator with almost 20 years of experience specializing in real-life inspirational features, entertainment, celebrity, psychology, travel, books and more. Over the last 17 years, she has risen through the ranks and now serves as Executive Editor for the print and digital platforms of FIRST for Women and Woman’s World magazines, bringing uplifting and sought-after content to millions of women each week. She has also served as the Editor-in-Chief of more than a dozen inspirational special issue publications, including Kindfulness Magzine, Animal Heroes and Mini-Mysteries Digest. Previously, her writing and editing appeared in multiple uplifting travel and lifestyle magazines including Simple Grace, National Geographic Adventure, D Magazine and Southwest: The Magazine. Carey has a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism from Texas A&M University in College Station and also earned a Master’s in Journalism at The University of North Texas, graduating magna cum laude. In her free time, she loves escaping into fantasy novels, traveling to beautiful places that look like the settings for said fantasy novels, restoring her 175-year-old house on an old Christmas tree farm, and spending time with her husband and feisty rescue cattle dog.
