Joey Feek is one inspirational woman. The country singer, one half of the husband-and-wife music duo Joey and Rory, has been battling cancer since May 2014. Sadly, the cancer became so aggressive this October that she and her husband Rory Feek made the extremely tough decision to end her cancer treatment and go into hospice. Despite the seemingly heartbreaking circumstances, Joey has an amazing outlook on her life and impending death. And she is not keeping quiet about it. She has a lot to say. So it is only fitting that we take a look back at some of the most inspirational things she has said so far. The best for her is truly yet to come.

"She said that when you’re lying in a bed day after day and you can do nothing and you don’t know if you’re gonna be here next Christmas, or next month or even next week… you suddenly become hyper-aware that today… that this moment – is all you have. And that today is enough. It truly is a gift," Joey's Husband Rory wrote on his blog.

"I don't fear anything because I'm so close to God and we've talked about it so many times. I know he's close. And I know he loves me. I'm really at peace. I still believe there's healing in prayer," Joey Feek said in an interview with The Tennessean.

In November 2015, Rory was able to arrange for many of Joey's close friends and neighbors to gather into a friend's bus where they all spent the evening eating dinner and laughing and crying together. Rory wrote in his blog that Joey said afterward, "It was like a dream, a sweet dream." It's so inspiring that her perspective of her life is that it feels like a glorious dream to her, even as it's slipping away.

On the last day Joey walked, Rory wrote on his blog that he danced softly with his wife while singing George Strait’s "You Look So Good In Love." In the middle of the song, she stopped and said, "How about if I lead?" And then he followed.
