3 Months Into Remission, Shannen Doherty Feels “Blessed”

Like you, we were absolutely ecstatic when Shannen Doherty announced her breast cancer had gone into remission three months ago. And we were even more excited to see the actress emerge again after her announcement, looking much healthier and happier, with her beautiful hair finally starting to grow back.

Now, three months into her remission, we’re even more in awe of the 46-year-old’s strength and resilience — along with her lovely curls making their long-awaited reappearance.

Doherty had all her fans and followers grinning from ear to ear when she recently shared a photo of herself with a tiny monkey on her Instagram page. Though it may seem like a simple adorable image at first glance, it’s clear that she felt a strong connection to the little guy from her caption — and a powerful takeaway from the experience.

“Just me and a monkey,” she wrote. “Not a day goes by that I don’t feel blessed. This monkey was abandoned by its mom. He now lives at a sanctuary.”

Clearly, Doherty has been more excited than ever to show fans and followers all the adventures she’s been on in the last few months. Ever since announcing her cancer-free status, she has been sharing more and more images and videos of herself getting active again with her mom in a dance class and traveling to Mexico with her beloved husband.
