Bride Was Headed into Hotel to Begin Wedding Night When She Heard a Scream She Couldn’t Ignore
Even if they’ve been going out for years, most couples find their wedding night unforgettable. But it’s safe to say that the aftermath of Andrew and Julie Stroyne Nixon’s wedding was so unusual that they’ll be recounting that story for a long time.
The newlyweds had left the reception minutes before and were just about to go through the hotel doors when they heard someone screaming. “Does anybody know CPR? Is anybody a doctor?” Without thinking twice, Julie, a trauma nurse, ran over to a nearby bench. There the bride, still in her gorgeous dress, found a woman who was barely breathing. She started CPR and, after a while, the dazed woman came to. Julie held her hand until the ambulance and paramedics came.

Afterwards, the bride told the local CBS news station that her instincts had taken over. “It really did seem that we were in the right place at the right time,” she said.
“It was a heroic act, but I’ve known her for long enough, I’m not surprised at all,” her husband Andrew added. You can watch the whole story in the video below!
