Is ‘Live With Kelly & Ryan’ Over Before It Ever Really Started? We Hope Not!

Yikes! New morning show couple Kelly Ripa and Ryan Seacrest are already on the outs.

So soon after naming Ryan as her new Live co-host, Kelly is apparently angry that Ryan’s attention might soon be diverted from her show. ABC, the network that hosts Live, has just acquired the rights to American Idol, the hit show that Ryan once hosted. There’s been no official announcement from ABC regarding Ryan’s role on the reboot, but Kelly is worried that Ryan won’t be focused on her show (check out the video below to see what inside sources are saying about the drama).

According to PageSix, Kelly thinks the situation with Ryan might end the same way as her relationship with former co-host Michael Strahan. The former football player famously left Live after four years, only telling Kelly about his departure minutes before the news broke to the media.

A source told PageSix that an Idol deal was part of Ryan’s motivation in coming to ABC, but both the network and the star’s rep have denied that there is a deal in the works for Ryan. “His priority is ‘Live With Kelly and Ryan’ and his radio show,” his rep said.

Kelly’s rep told the site that, “[The rumors are] all false. She’s been fully in the loop,” referring to the potentially secret deals that might be happening between Ryan and ABC.
