Cuisinart Recalls 8 Million Food Processors Sold Since 1996

On January 5, the U.S. Department of Agriculture issued the recall of 1,000 pounds of chicken products from the grocery chain, including: Wegmans Italian Flavored Chicken Breast Cutlet with a use-by date of 1/24/2016; Wegmans Brown Sugar Barbecue Seasoned Chicken Breast Cutlet with a use-by date of 1/15/2016; Wegmans Garlic & Fennel Whole Chicken Roaster with a use-by date of 1/13/2016; Wokery Sherry Chicken 27482″ with use-by date of 1/13/2016; The chicken wasn't inspected, and, according to the USDA, could cause serious health issues after eating it.

Campbell Soup Company recalled 355,000 cans of Spaghetti Os Original on November 12, 2015, because of a potential choking hazard. Customers had complained to the company after finding red plastic pieces mixed in with the spaghetti; the company explained that the plastic was from the cans' lining, which had somehow peeled off. The cans being recalled are the 14.2 oz ones with an expiration date of Feb 22, 2017 and a UPC code of 51000 22432. If you have these cans in the house, take them to the store for a full refund.

All American Meats, a company in Nebraska, is recalling more than 167,000 pounds of ground beef and ground chuck because of possible E.coli contamination. The ground meat was produced on October 16, and has a sell-by date of November 3. It was sold in 60- to 80-pound boxes, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture. The USDA is classifying the risk as high, since E.coli bacteria can cause bloody diarrhea and lead to serious complications.

Herr Foods is recalling its 1.875-ounce bags of sour-cream-and-onion potato chips because the labels say "gluten-free," when the potato chips actually contain wheat (which has gluten). The chips have a best-buy date of January 2016. If you don't have a wheat allergy or celiac disease, you can eat the chips with no problem. No other sized bag or type of potato chip is involved in Herr's recall, according to the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

If you're a fan of Skippy's reduced-fat peanut butter, check the jar's label. The manufacturer is recalling the PB because these 16.3-ounce jars could contain metal, according to the FDA. All jars have a best-buy date of December 14, 2016 and 37600-10500 product code. The peanut butter was sold at Walmart, Target, and Publix stores located in the following states: Georgia, Virginia, Alabama, North AND South Carolina, Delaware, and Arkansas.

Chipotle, the Mexican food chain, closed 43 of its restaurants in Oregon and Washington state last week. The reason: E. coli contamination, which sent eight people to the hospital and caused 22 people to get sick. Officials aren't sure what foods caused the outbreak, but all of the people who got sick ate in a Chipotle's restaurant in the Seattle or Portland area during mid-October, the Seattle Times reported.
