Woman Loses Half Her Body Weight By Making This Simple Change to Her Diet

Jessica Weber knew she had put on too much weight after she ballooned to nearly 400 pounds; it was not only taking a toll on her physical health but also on her mental state.

Weber admitted that she never could remember a time when she wasn’t struggling with her weight, even as early as childhood.

“I definitely feel like I was treated differently,” Weber told the Daily Mail. “I used to get made fun of growing up in school. I stopped riding the school bus because this one girl would be so mean to me. I wasn’t even at my heaviest weight then; it got better, but I still felt like people judged me.”

Throughout her adolescence, she continued to eat poorly, consuming large amounts of pasta and potatoes often in the same sitting. But it wasn’t until she was 22 years old and eating two dinners a night that she decided it was time for a major change.

In January 2016, Weber underwent gastric sleeve surgery to prevent serious health complications like diabetes or sleep apnea from developing. The procedure reshaped her stomach so that she can only ingest a certain amount of calories per day.

But Weber wasn’t simply content with using the surgery to transform her figure: she was determined to eat better, too. She removed extremely starchy meals and “liquid calories” like soda from her diet, replacing them with lean protein and lots of vegetables. And the results are astonishing: Weber has lost 199 pounds—nearly half her body weight!

Still, Weber feels her weight loss journey is not complete. She hopes to reach her goal of 150 to 160 pounds before having a tummy tuck to remove the excess skin that remains from her drastic slim down.

In the meantime, Weber continues to share her journey to Instagram and promote body positivity for all.

“This is my reality! This is my life! When you lose 180 pounds, the skin doesn’t just suck back up,” she wrote in the caption of a recent Instagram post. “I have been learning to deal with it, even with wanting to lose a bit more weight and have surgery! This is my life until then, and I will not hate my body anymore!”

So inspiring!
