Costco’s No-Slice, $5 Spaghetti Squash Is a Keto Dieter’s Dream

Anyone who’s been on the keto diet for a while has probably discovered the joy of spaghetti squash. When cooked, the tender and delicious piece of produce yields a texture that mimics traditional pasta without the massive amount of carbs. That said, if you’ve ever tried to cook spaghetti squash recipes on your own at home, you also know what a huge pain and time suck it can be to prepare it before you dig in.

Enter Costco to save the day: Our favorite store is now selling our favorite pasta alternative in bulk for a measly $5. As if that alone weren’t exciting enough, this spaghetti squash product also requires minimal effort on your part while putting together a healthy lunch or dinner. Not only is it already fully cooked and microwavable, it’ll be ready to eat in just six minutes. That’s right, you can now officially say goodbye to slicing a stubborn piece of produce, bid farewell to scooping out all those pesky seeds getting in the way of your meal, and forget about turning on your oven in the midst of warm weather.

An eagle-eyed shopper at a Hawaii store was one of the first people out there to alert fellow keto dieters about the new product. Instagram user @addictedtoketo shared a tempting image of the delightful goods with the caption, “Whoa guys.. spaghetti squash at Costco! I’m so glad they’re hopping on the keto train by stocking some keto essentials.”

Considering how tasty spaghetti squash can be when paired with the right sauces and accompaniments, we’re pretty sure this product will become a “keto essential” for lots of people. Much like regular pasta, there are virtually endless ways to customize spaghetti squash based on your dietary needs and preferences. But so many spaghetti squash fans out there might not have the opportunity to try all of the different possibilities because they quite frankly don’t have time.

But as long as you have six minutes and $5, this Costco spaghetti squash can truly change your meals — and maybe even your whole experience with the keto diet. There’s only one way to find out!
