Halo Top Debuts Keto-Friendly Ice Cream

Satisfy your sweet tooth without the guilt.

Following a ketogenic diet allows for many mouth-watering meals, but digging into spoonfuls of ice cream afterward is usually frowned upon. Until now, that is.

Halo Top ice cream is already known for their yummy, yet surprisingly low-calorie pints. Fans of the frozen treat can’t really comprehend how something so delicious can truly have so little calories, but that doesn’t stop dieters from partaking in the guilt-free indulgence. Now, the company has cracked a similar code for those who care more about carbs than cals with a line of scrumptious options that will only set you back 10 or fewer carbs.

“Our brand is focused on making delicious dessert that everyone can feel good about eating, and these new flavors allow us to do that for our fans looking to limit their sugar intake,” Meg Graeff, Halo Top’s senior brand manager, wrote in a press release

Here’s the list of all the flavors you can look for, plus how many carbs and calories are in each pint:

  • Peanut Butter Chocolate: 8 grams of carbs, 630 calories
  • Caramel Butter Pecan: 5 grams of carbs, 460 calories
  • Chocolate Cheesecake: 10 grams of carbs, 470 calories
  • Jelly Donut: 7 grams of carbs, 450 calories
  • Berry Swirl: 8 grams of carbs, 410 calories
  • Banana Cream Pie: 8 grams of carbs, 500 calories
  • White Chocolatey Macadamia Nut: 8 grams of carbs, 460 calories

You may notice that the number of calories is quite a bit higher than Halo Top usually boasts in their regular line of flavors. It’s true, they had to make some allowances in cals to keep the carbs so low, but it’s still less than you’ll find in an ordinary tub of ice cream.

Of course, moderation is always the key when you’re trying to shed a few pounds or simply stay healthy overall — there’s still the chance of “too much of a good thing.” But if you’re looking for a tasty way to satisfy your sweet tooth without ruining all your hard work, these just might be the answer. You can check the Halo Top website to see which stores sell their ice cream in your town.

Now go ahead and make some space in your freezer for a pint!
