Lighting large rooms can be a challenge, especially when you have high or vaulted ceilings. Sconces mount to the wall and look beautiful, but require sawed holes and manual wiring to properly install. Fortunately, there’s an affordable, low-maintenance option that fills the void of dimly lit space: tall floor lamps.

If you want the effect of sconce lighting without the handyman, tall floor lamps (65-69 inches high) and extra tall floor lamps (70+ inches high) are the way to go. Scroll down for some of our favorites.
