Peace Out’s New Wrinkle Patches Let You Press Rewind on Fine Lines
When it comes to wrinkle-fighting beauty treatments, it feels like we’ve seen it all. From dousing our faces in oils and creams that promise smoother skin to undergoing procedures such as Botox that are performed exclusively performed in a doctor’s office, us ladies have gone to great lengths to keep crinkles at bay. But what if we told you there was a new quick and painless way to smooth out fine lines and wrinkles from the comfort of your home that actually delivers results? Ladies, meet Peace Out’s new microneedling anti-wrinkle retinol patches ($28, Sephora).
Coming with six patches to a box, these Band-Aid-like stickers are the definition of innovation, working to plump up skin, which loses volume with age, ultimately leading to wrinkles, at a fraction of the price of fancy salves and treatments. Each one is packed with 450 tiny, self-dissolving hyaluronic acid microneedles, or painless microscopic applicators that gently penetrate the skin, to allow for better absorption of its active ingredients.
Peace Out Wrinkles patches use a powerhouse blend of three of the best wrinkle-fighting ingredients on the market — fine line-fighting retinol (a derivative of vitamin A, which smooths wrinkles), collagen-boosting peptides (proteins which strengthen the fibers of the skin), and skin-smoothing, brightening vitamin C — to attack everything from smile lines and crow’s feet to deep forehead wrinkles and fine lines between the eyebrows, also known as “11 wrinkles,” on the spot.
Measuring in at about two-inches long with a one-size fits all design, these patches can placed anywhere fine lines and wrinkles plague you for the perfect all-over spot treatment.
To use these patches, begin with clean, dry skin. Remove the white protective layer around the perimeter of the patch and gently press it onto the skin for five to 10 seconds. Once applied, leave the patch on overnight (or a minimum of six hours) for the best results.
Unlike other wrinkle products, these patches don’t have to be used daily: Peace Out recommends you use them twice a week for at least two consecutive weeks to start seeing results.
According to a consumer study conducted by the brand, 70 percent of users who tested the product out over 14 days reported that their wrinkles and fine lines were less noticeable and that the patches worked faster than anything they have tried, 100 percent of felt the product was quick and easy to use.
The reviews seem to solidify the study’s findings, with customers raving over these patches online. “These wrinkle patches are no joke!” wrote one. “I have some annoying lines on my forehead and I’m not into alternatives, so I was happy to try these. After two rounds, my lines were way less noticeable. I haven’t tried anything else that worked so quickly!”
Gushed another, “In order to first test out this product I used it on the deepest, most jaded wrinkles on my forehead and I was so surprised at the work it did overnight. I’ve tried creams and skincare regimens for years and this product is kind of like getting ‘cheat codes’ for wrinkles.”
Even women over 50 marveled at their results: “I’m in my early 50s with sensitive skin and was soooo AMAZED to see how these made my small under eye lines fade! I honestly didn’t expect to see much change since these little lines have been with me for many years, but I totally noticed a difference! Those micro needles even feel good when you apply the patches. LOVE this product and will definitely keep using it!”
It’s clear: these patches are another winner in a long line of superstar products from Peace Out.
You’ll want to nab them while you can, however: Though they just dropped on Sephora today, they immediately sold out on the brand’s own website upon launch on December 12, so you’ll want to get your hands on a box which you can.
“Peace out,” wrinkles!
