This crowd-pleasing sensation can be prepped the night before, so all you have to do when guests start arriving is pop it in the oven.
- 1 stick butter, melted
- 1 clove garlic, grated
- 1 tbsp Italian seasoning
- 1 load crusty bread
- 8 oz wedge Asiago cheese, sliced
- 1 c shredded Italian 3-blend cheese
- 1/4 c minced parsely
Heat oven to 400oF. In bowl, mix first three ingredients. With serrated knife, slice bread in a grid. Spoon garlic butter into long cuts.
Place loaf on foil-lined baking sheet. Fill cuts with Asiago; sprinkle with Italian cheese. Wrap in foil. Bake 30 minuntes, uncovering for last 10 min. Sprinkle with parsley.
Cutting a crosshatch pattern into the loaf creates an abundance of pockets to stuff with goodness. To do: Slice bread lengthwise at 3/4-inch intervals about 3/4 of the way down, then repeat across. Spoon the butter in long cuts and fill horizontal cuts with cheese for evenly distributed flavor throughout.
