To make quick work of slicing the sprouts, our test kitchen used a food processor’s slicing attachment.
- 4 slices bacon chopped
- 2 tbsp. olive oil
- 1 small onion chopped
- 2 (9 oz.) pkgs. Brussels sprouts trimmed, halved, and sliced
- 2 tbsp. apple cider vinegar
In skillet over medium heat, cook bacon until crisp; drain.
Add enough oil to bacon drippings to equal 3 Tbs. Add onion; cook until tender, 3-5 min., stirring.
Stir in vinegar, 3/4 tsp. salt, and 1/4 tsp. pepper.
Top with bacon and apple slices, if desired.
