Garlic-Rosemary Green Beans

Tangy orange juice and crunchy toasted almonds give this quick side a touch of healthy decadence.

Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp. butter
  • 1 small clove garlic minced
  • 8 oz. green beans trimmed
  • 1/2 c. orange juice
  • 1/2 tsp. crushed dried rosemary
  • 2 tbsp. sliced natural almonds toasted

Instructions

In large nonstick skillet over medium-low heat, melt butter. Add garlic; cook 30 sec. or until fragrant.

Add beans, orange juice, rosemary, 1/4 tsp. salt and 1/8 tsp. pepper; over high heat, bring to a boil. Reduce heat to medium-low. Cover; cook 15 min. or until tender. Sprinkle with sliced almonds just before serving.

Two Easy Variations

Lemon-kissed: Instead of orange juice and rosemary, use 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice and 1 tsp. dried dill for tangy twist. 

Extra bright: Replace the dried rosemary with 1 tsp. chopped fresh thyme or tarragon.
