Florentine Pasta Salad Recipe Is Perfect for Summer + Full of Healthy Ingredients

Spinach adds brightness to this summery side that’s ready in a flash

Sure, the grill takes center stage when it comes to a barbecue, but we have to admit that sometimes those cookout side dishes are the real star of the show. And there really is no better meal accompaniment than a good ol’ classic pasta salad. The best thing about this dish? You can get creative with ingredients or keep it simple like we did with our Florentine Pasta Salad Recipe.

All you need is penne, fresh spinach, store-bought tomato vinaigrette dressing and jarred sundried tomatoes in oil. We choose sundried tomatoes, specifically, for their nice depth of flavor. They’re tart and chewy, and because they’ve been preserved, you’ll get more of that rich tomato taste. The other big component of this dish is spinach. Full of nutrients and oh-so-good for you, this leafy green adds a healthy element to your party. Serve this pasta salad cold and enjoy! Let us know what you think in the comments.
