Sweet and Savory Pineapple & Chicken Pizza Recipe Is the Perfect Takeout Substitute

Juicy pineapple makes the perfect complement to peppery arugula and zesty cheese on this so-simple quick-prep pie

It’s the age-old question: Does pineapple belong on pizza? For me, the answer is yes. While the fruity topping isn’t always my go-to, sometimes I simply crave the sweetness it brings to a classic pie. You can go classic Hawaiian with bacon, ham and pineapple, or you can try our Pineapple and Chicken Pizza recipe.

For this meal, our advice is to use a pre-made crust or dough. My favorite is Mama Mary’s thin crust, but whichever one you choose will save you time. Besides the juicy pineapple, chicken sausage is also one of the stars of this pizza. Typically, you’ll find that this protein is already cooked, so all you’ll have to do is warm it or crisp it up. These ingredients make the perfect meal when you’re not feeling takeout but need something quick and easy to eat. Would you try pineapple on pizza? Let us know in the comments!
