Creamy Chicken Caesar Salad Recipe Is the Ultimate Filling + Flavorful Lunchtime Dish

This mouthwatering salad comes together in 40 minutes and requires just 6 ingredients!

A crunchy, well-dressed Caesar salad is a dish I’ll never turn down, especially when it has protein added. This Creamy Chicken Caesar Salad recipe features romaine lettuce topped with store-bought yogurt dressing, croutons, Parmesan cheese shaving and grilled chicken. It’s the perfect lunch option as it’s both filling and flavorful. If you want to get ahead on prep, grill the chicken a day ahead. Simply chill it whole and then, when you’re ready to serve, bring it to room temperature and slice. 

While this salad has all of the elements of a traditional Caesar, you can mix-and-match the ingredients to your liking. Grill another protein like shrimp, salmon or steak instead of chicken. Use other leafy greens like kale or arugula along with the romaine. Or, drizzle regular Caesar dressing over the salad for a richer flavor.   • 1 tsp. lemon-pepper seasoning
  • 1 lb. boneless, skinless chicken breast halves
  • 8 cups torn romaine lettuce leaves
  • 12 (3⁄4 oz.) slices French bread, toasted
  • ½ cup bottled creamy Caesar yogurt dressing
  • ½ cup Parmesan cheese shavings


Prepare grill for medium direct-heat cooking. Sprinkle seasoning on both sides of chicken; coat lightly with cooking spray. Grill chicken, flipping once, until no longer pink in centers, 5–6 min. per side. Transfer to cutting board. Let stand 5 min.; slice.

Arrange lettuce, chicken and croutons on platter. Drizzle with dressing; sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
